Biography
Dr. Skylar Rolf is an assistant professor of management at the University of Houston-Clear
Lake. Prior to pursuing an academic career, Dr. Rolf served as the chief operations
officer at the Institute for International Medicine. Upon his transition into academia,
he earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
Dr. Rolf has taught courses of Strategic Management, International Business, Management
Theory & Practice, Current Issues in Management, and Business Principles.
His primary research areas of interest include strategic leadership, organizational
learning, international management, reputation and stakeholder relationships, and
social identity, and his research has been published in numerous journals such as
International Business Review, Journal of General Management, Nonprofit and Voluntary
Sector Quarterly, and Personnel Review. Dr. Rolf currently serves on the board of
the Southwest Academy of Management and is a member of the Academy of Management.
In his free time, Dr. Rolf enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on his favorite
sports teams, and enjoying the outdoors.
